Sunday Sketch

Today's sketch will be the perfect layout for the Mother's Day card you'll be making this week. Because you will be making a card for Mother's Day, right? Was that subtle?

Two beautiful patterned papers, two large images and a lovely sentiment will be the perfect combination for making your one-of-a-kind message special.

One patterned paper will be your background, while the other will be a large overlapping circle in the bottom corner.

Tie your focal points together by matching the colors and theme of your papers. You can get incredibly creative here and use die cuts, stamped images or even small photos.

Add a Mother's Day sentiment in the bottom corner and you'll be ready to make her day.

For my card, I started with a bright pink card stock and matted a coordinating pink flowered paper onto it for my background.

I cut a large circle out of a coordinating pink and green flowered paper, adhered it and trimmed off the overhanging edges.

My two large images are both stamped and hand-cut, one on another flowered paper from that set and colored with glittered gel pens, and the other on a metallic pink and silver handmade paper.

The hand-stamped phrase ties my beautiful pink card all together.
