A Weekend Of Spreading The Word

Today I'll have a booth for Stuff From Trees in the nearby town of Albia. I'm excited and nervous at the same time, just like always, simply because this is my work on display. People will file through by the hundreds to look at the cards, journals and albums I've made and decide whether or not they want to purchase them.

Some will buy things for themselves - many do - but others will be purchasing them as gifts for friends and loved ones. This stirs up even more excitement in my heart, not knowing how far and wide my pieces will go.

This is so vitally important to me, not because my name is on the back, but because God's word is on the front. Almost everything I make has Scripture on it, making it so much more special to me. This is the main reason that I craft the way I do - so that God's word can reach as many people through my projects as possible. That makes shows like this such a wonderful experience, as I find the perfect verses, colors, themes and projects for just the right person.

So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. Isaiah 55:11

Make this a weekend of spreading the word. You may not have a craft show booth set up in a neighboring town, but you can speak, write and share the word in so many other ways. The Lord will give you exactly what you need to say when you need to say it, so don't worry about having just the right words.

It's entirely possible that you'll be the only Bible some people read this weekend, so fill up those hours with the precious word of God. He promises that your efforts will not go unnoticed, and because His word never returns without touching lives and hearts, the rewards will be waiting for you to enjoy throughout eternity.
