Sunday Sketch

Think of a nice, long sentiment for today's sketch ... since you'll be cutting it in half!

The best part about this layout is that you can balance out your card in a creative way. There's no huge phrase to try to center or shorten, so you can place the two pieces in the corners and add some coordinating embellishments in the opposite corners.

Your center focal point is a little more subdued. Just pick a patterned decorator paper that coordinates with your theme, cut out a diamond and mat it on a contrasting color.

For my card, I started with black card stock and matted my streamer decorator paper on top. From the same set of paper, I cut out the "happy" diamond focal point and matted it on the coordinating purple paper

I printed out the two parts of my sentiment and matted them on the same purple. Because they were in two of the corners, I balanced it out with six teal gems.

I absolutely adore this card, and I plan to use this layout with a couple of other paper sets I'm trying to use up. The possibilities are so exciting!
