A Weekend Of Studying To Answer

I was never a very good test-taker in school. If you asked me to explain what I knew rather than regurgitate information, I did much better.

It has never been easy for me to just recall details at a moment's notice. Studying at the last minute was futile, but experiencing it and talking about it made more lasting impression.

The heart of the righteous studieth to answer: but the mouth of the wicked pouter out evil things. Proverbs 15:28

Make this a weekend of studying to answer. As you do your daily Bible reading and study, pay special attention to the truths and promises that you've experienced in your life. You may be the only Bible some people will see this weekend, so knowing what God expects from you will be vitally important when the time comes to share your faith. Each verse that you commit to memory or mark for future use will be a gem in the treasure of your heart.

Having this knowledge and wisdom will make you an effective vessel for sharing the gospel with your family, neighborhood, city and beyond. Hide God's word away in your heart so that it will be ready and waiting for the moment you need it most.
