A Sneak Peek...

...at what's happening in my kitchen during the month of April!

Before you think I've gone insane because the kitchen is full of cow cookies, let me extend an invitation!

The Alpine Baptist Church Ladies' Jubilee is coming up quickly - Saturday, April 30 from 10am to 2 pm. It's a worship service for women, an opportunity to hear a great speaker, enjoy fellowship with other Christian women, take home a bunch of free goodies and share a free meal. We had about 400 ladies from several states (not just Columbia and South Carolina) last year, and we'd love for you to be one of them this year!

Our theme, getting back to the cookies, is from 1Peter 2:2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby. Because of the milk in this verse, our theme is cows! They're everywhere in our church already and they're the cutest things!

So I've been playing with sugar cookie recipes, looking for the perfect combination for these cow cookies. All of the desserts will be cookies this year, and we wanted something super sweet. If you have a favorite sugar cookie recipe, please let me know. I'd love to try them out over the next few days.

The frosting/icing/decoration is going to be a surprise, because it's just the cutest thing ever! Either come to Jubilee on the 30th or wait for the After-Jubilee post to see them in all their moo-velousness. Yes, we're inundated with cow jokes, too.

  1. We are planning to be there, Lord willing! See you soon!
P.S. Will you have a table set up? :)

  2. That is fantastic, Jessica! It's going to be an amazing, God-filled day. Please pray special for us over the next few days! Yes, I'll have a table in the Fellowship Building - all of the inventory from Stuff From Trees, my book and some other goodies. See you there!
