I Choo-Choo-Choose You, My Punny Valentine!

Yes, you’re reading that right. These adorable woodland creatures have crazy-funny side to them, too. I made a dozen of these cards to give to our youth group, each with its own pun attached. My favorite is the skunk: Together we make scents! See what I did there? Zoom in on the picture to get a few more chuckles.

I’m not a big fan of mass producing cards because I think they lose something when I’m just cutting and taping stuff together. But this layout is super easy, and I was able to use up some scraps from this spring set. Double bonus! The cards themselves are an 8 1/2x11 piece of white card stock folded in half, and the white strip across the middle is cut from my ever-growing stash of card stock bits. The decorator paper is from an 8x8-inch stack, the striped cut to 4 inches and the pink flowered to 2 inches. I said it was super easy.

I had the fall version of this card set for sale in the shop, so I already had the puns printed out on the computer. All I had to do was mat them on pink paper and attach them to the front of the card. Now we can prepare ourselves for teenage eye rolls and “You know that’s not funny, right?” Between you and me, that’s why I did it.
