Sunday Sketch

This week's sketch has so many possibilities that it might become a new favorite. It's easily adaptable for whatever season, theme or color scheme you have in mind.

The focal point is the circle in the middle. If you have a circle cutter, it's super easy; or you can just trace around a cup or bowl to get the size you need.

From there, you'll choose a long, tall image for the lefthand side of the card. The phrase goes underneath the circle.

Double matting the background will give you some added dimension as well. Choose a coordinating card stock and decorator paper or try double matting with the same color for a unique look.
For my card, I double matted the background with the same green textured paper, but I ink-distressed all of the edges to make it stand out. I love this look almost as much as I loved my second choice - raising the smaller piece on 3D adhesive.

My circle is made of a wood grain patterned paper. For my lefthand image, I used a tree branch die cut and some die cut leaves.

Then my vellum Bible verse goes in the open space underneath the circle.

This card, along with many other cards, paper crafts and wood gifts, can be found in our Etsy shop. Come visit soon!
