In All Situations, Just Be Kind

In a world where you can be anything, choose to be kind in all situations. There are already enough people striving for more, not caring who they run over to get there and pressing their own agendas. Instead of giving in to the flesh and lashing out like everyone else does so easily these days, let's determine in our hearts to just be kind. The kind of kindness Paul described so practically in his letter to the Ephesians.

Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another. Ephesians 4:25
When you're tempted to say something that's not entirely true, just be kind.

Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath: Ephesians 4:26
When your anger is ready to boil over and all you want to do is go to bed and pout, just be kind.

Neither give place to the devil. Ephesians 4:27
When your armor is cracking and the enemy could potentially find places to squeeze into your situation, just be kind.

Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth. Ephesians 4:28
When you realize you're taking more than you give, just be kind.

Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. Ephesians 4:29
When the lock on your lips has failed and you're about to say whatever's on your mind, just be kind.

And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. Ephesians 4:30
When your flesh gets in the way and it would be simple to do something against the will of the Spirit, just be kind.

Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: Ephesians 4:31
When the ugly feelings try to poke their way out and go on the attack, just be kind.

And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you. Ephesians 4:32
In every situation, regardless of who deserves what or why a fierce reaction is justified, just be tender, forgiving and ... of course ... kind. The woman who puts others first and controls herself is the one who will be remembered for her kindness. And that's the kind of kindness Paul wanted us to live out.
