My Forest Animals Planner Layout


Just because I'm on vacation this week doesn't mean I don't get to have a cool planner layout! I still have lots to do, a few get-togethers that I'm not calling meetings, and enough time to work at Pages for Pennies donations without looking at the clock. That kind of week deserves an adorable planner spread that I'll want to keep open all day every day.


My forest animals and some of the mushrooms came from one sticker set, while the larger mushrooms came from another set. While this is completely not mushroom season in Iowa, the colors and shapes work perfectly with my woodland creatures and the idea of a whole week on the property. They're clustered into little vignettes, each with an animal, a larger mushroom, and a couple of smaller embellishments to balance them out. Then I ran them diagonally across the page from top to bottom through the week.


My prayer this week, whether you have vacation or a full work week, is that we'll all find time for the things we love, the people we love, and the places we love. It's definitely possible to be productive and rested and rejuvenated all at the same time. We just need God's priorities in line to accomplish that ... and the perfect planner layout doesn't hurt, either!

The Lord, My Shield And My Buckler

Sometimes verses of Scripture grab ahold of your heart and don't let go. That happened to me several months in a row as I was reading the books of Psalms and Proverbs.  If you don't already, add reading the Proverb that corresponds to the day of the month - 31 Proverbs, 31 days - to your Bible reading schedule. Similarly, if you read five Psalms every day, you'll read the entire book each month. On the first of the month, Psalm 5:11-12 stood out like they were under a spotlight. Repeatedly. Scriptures About Freedom Perfect For Independence Day

In Sunday School yesterday, we took a break from our chronological study of the Bible to do a fun Fourth of July lesson. We made the youth a packet full of patriotic pictures with Scripture on them. Then we talked about each one in context with the verses around it, not just pulling out verse that sound nice or fit well. After studying several of them, we found a few favorites. They're perfect for creating some digital art of your own, or for using on and in a greeting card.
