Orange Swirl Fudge
You'll be able to cut 36 pieces from one 8x8 pan of fudge, and each piece gets half a gumdrop. The flavor combination is out of this world, and the swirls make it look so sophisticated. This is the perfect summer treat, it only needs six ingredients, and it's so simple to put together. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
1 12-oz bag white baking chips
2 Tbsp butter, sliced
1 16-oz can vanilla frosting
2 tsp orange extract
Orange gel food coloring
18 gumdrops (9 orange and 9 white)
2. Combine white baking chips and sliced butter in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in the microwave at 30-second intervals, stirring until combined and smooth.
3. Remove the lid and liner from the frosting. Heat in the microwave for 30 seconds.
4. Pour the frosting into the white chips' bowl and stir until combined and smooth.
5. Divide the fudge into two bowls. Set one aside and add orange extract to the other, stirring to combine. Add orange food coloring until desired shade.
6. Pour a third of the white fudge into the bottom of the dish. Drop six spoonfuls (about a third) of the orange fudge on top. Gently swirl with a knife or chopstick. Repeat two more times to use all the fudge, making the top swirl lovely.
7. Place dish in the refrigerator for 10-15 minutes, until just set on top but still sticky.
8. Cut the gumdrops in half and arrange in rows of orange and white. Return to refrigerator for 2-3 hours. Cut into pieces so each piece of fudge has a gumdrop on top.
