My April And Easter Planner Layouts
Praise the Lord that April and Easter are almost here! I've been doing Bible study on the resurrection and hope, and I definitely needed it. The season of life I'm in right now is difficult from every angle, but the clean, beautiful hope of spring and Easter helps change that perspective a little. And what better place to highlight that than in the planner I have open all day?
The monthly spread for April, where I keep track of my blog posts, uses all one set of stickers. They're thrown random, confetti-style all over the pages in a mix of colors and shapes. Think of it like cutting them out, throwing them up in the air, and sticking them down wherever they land - how fun is that?
This style works great with a large space and small stickers, and even with different images from a variety of sets. Combining multiple sets to make them eye-pleasing is simple if your layout has a solid theme and structure, which in this case was alternating small images across the page. This would have worked just as well if the stickers hadn't been from the same set just because of the spacing.
I can't tell you how ready I am for Resurrection Sunday. The weight of the world has been on my shoulders lately, and I've needed the reminder in my Bible study that Jesus Christ already took that weight on Himself. And was victorious over it! It's not mine to carry, even if it feels like it some days.
That's why I used these giant spring flowers and bright colors to make corners on every day. I want that reminder every single day leading up to Resurrection Sunday that life is beautiful because of Christ's sacrifice for me. The circumstances of each of those days may be difficult, but sin and evil have already been defeated!
As we go into Holy Week, my prayer for each of us is that we will grasp once again that we've been bought with a price. This was the most difficult few days of Jesus' earthly life, but the ugliness of sin and death was overshadowed by the life and hope that came at the start of the new week. Praise His holy name for the sacrifice our Lord made that we could be free from sin and death! May you keep that in mind today and in the days to come.
